If you've finished building an Elecraft, or any other radio, and it didn't quite come up to your expectations, send it to me for a tuneup. I use Spectrogram to set up the filters so it works the way it was supposed to. WWV provides my standard for setting the frequency calibration.
Lightning, hookup errors, drops, or whatever, can land your radio in the shop. One of the most vexing repairs is the intermittent problem. Sometimes, it's the new build that failed to work when completed. If they're American, I fix them all.
