Flex 6400 with ATU, 100 Watt HF SDR.    $1699, free shipping CONUS

This rig is for sale on behalf of a friend, W2MDE. He’s had the radio since new in spring 2018, and offered it to me because he’s not using it. It needs a computer and free software to use, and I tried it out on my shop Windows PC. It works perfectly, and although I do computers, I really prefer to use the knobs and buttons on my K3S.

Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera, accessories, case

SOLD eBay $295. Lowered SALE: $195, free shipping CONUS

Like many of you, I’ve been into photography for ages, and this D5100 was the last purchase I made of a “real” camera. That was back in 2011 when $900 bought quite a bit more than today. Since then, I’ve been using my iPhone more and more for my photos: it’s so much more convenient for those quick shots-of-opportunity. The iPhone quality still does not compare to the great Nikon photos, and I’ll miss that; your opportunity though!

The specs, in great detail, are at the official Nikon site. You might need to search.

In addition to the items shown in the first image, there are several filters including a polarizing filter, extra memory cards, cables to download images, small tripods, etc. All is in like-new condition, used very little. Any questions, feel free to text, call, or eMail me.

Even with cameras, your satisfaction is always assured with the W3DVX guarantee.

Apple iMac, 27″ Retina 5K display, All-in-One Desktop Computer, MF886LL/A
SOLD – a bargain at $400.

After being my main computer since early 2015, now it’s time time for me to offer the iMac a new home. It’s in excellent shape, and I upgraded it in 2020 from 8 GB to 32 GB memory. It has dual microphones, stereo speakers, and an HD camera for FaceTime or Zoom. It has built-in Wi-Fi. The Fusion hard drive is 1 TB; CPU is quad-core Intel Core i5 at 3.5 GHz. The system has been erased and reloaded with a new download of Big Sur.

The connectors on the rear: Headphones, SDXC memory card, four USB 3 sockets, two mini-Display (Thunderbolt 2) ports, Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45.

I have the original box for shipping, but much better if you can pick it up.

With all good intentions of making a home for a Windows PC here in my Apple ecosystem, I just can’t use a non-MacOS machine effectively. I tried for a couple years. Time to move this nice laptop along to someone who prefers the Windows environment.

David Clark H10-20 Aviation Headset, connector adapter, case

SOLD: $115, free shipping CONUS

This headset has some history about it. When I was first learning to fly in the summer of 1991, my first flights were using David Clark headsets that were with the Cessna 172s that I rented. It didn’t take too long to want my own personal headset—and this is the one I bought. I’ve not flown in the last few years, and I really don’t need to keep it.

It’s the perfect headset for the ham who uses headphones with a mic boom attached. Perfect for use in noisy environments—the cockpit of a 172 is LOUD—and when you put these on, all is quiet. The microphone ignores background sound, and you speak close to the mic. It’s an M-7A electret mic, which does need bias; the K2 needs a 5.6K resistor (probably already there if you use Elecraft MH2, 4 etc.) Tested with my K4 with bias turned on.

The adapter in the photo makes the jump from the aircraft plug to the socket of the K2, 3, 4. You might need to use an adapter for the mono phone plug, which is not stereo.

All’s in excellent condition except for the case, which is serviceable but a tad worn. The mic foam was replaced a few years ago and seems as new. Any questions, feel free to text, call, or eMail me.

Your satisfaction is always assured with the W3DVX guarantee.

Clarinet: Jean Paul CL-350, CL-4 Mouthpiece, Rico H Ligature, case

 SOLD $125, free shipping CONUS

Last May, 2022, I thought I’d relearn the clarinet … after all, how much could I have forgotten since I was 12 or 13 just starting high school? As it turned out, quite a bit, like everything. After diligently practicing for a half-hour every day for six months, I just wasn’t finding the pleasure of making music getting any closer.

The CL-350 is what Jean Paul calls their “Step-Up Student Clarinet.” After corresponding with J-P, I decided on the CL-350 because it has synthetic pads that seal better and last longer than fish-skin pads on the (more expensive) CL-400. So, I did the next best option and bought the CL-4 mouthpiece + the Rico H ligature, both of which are used with the CL-400. That option turned out quite well.

More info on the CL-350 is on the Jean Paul site.

All is in like-new condition, used very little. Any questions, feel free to text, call, or eMail me.

Your satisfaction is always assured with the W3DVX guarantee.

Elecraft K3-1117   —  SOLD at asking 11/8/2022

This K3 is one that I recently acquired for temporary use in my shop. No surprise: it needed a few repairs to get it up to my standards for a fine rig. Mechanically, it’s clean with only a few minor dings you’d not notice; it’s very good considering its age. Electrically, it’s up-to-specs in all regards. I’ve had it on the air, and its maximum output is over 10 watts CW and SSB: it made contacts using my 43′ vertical.

Some of the work I’ve done on the rig:

  • Completed full calibration per the K3 manual.
  • Installed new finals in the Low-Power Amplifier (the LPA).
  • Replaced the RIT encoder that had its shaft and knob broken in shipping.
  • Replaced the small AF and RF volume knobs; early knobs cracked when tightened.
  • Replaced the LCD plexiglass cover with new.
  • Verified that the “gold-pin” KPA3 mod had been done on the main RF board.

Installed components:

  • Five-pole 2.7 kHz filter,
  • KXV3-1 Rev B
  • KIO3A Rev A
  • KSYN3 Rev A
  • Add other modules? I can do so if you wish.

Selling the K3 itself for $895, plus $50 shipping CONUS.
The KBPF3 is $250 extra; if you buy with the K3, I’ll install for you.
The 400Hz filter is $75 extra; I’ll install and reconfigure the filter setup for you.
I’ll quote you on any other modules you want to add.

As always, I’m negotiable on prices here; text or call me.

Elecraft K2  — SOLD 6/21/2021

Servicing many Elecraft legacy products gives me the opportunity to pick up various parts and assemblies. This K2 is truly unique: it’s an older RF main board that I’ve totally reworked and updated (from Rev.A to Rev.B); the Control Board plus Front-Panel Board plus the front panel itself are actually new. Firmware is all current except the KSB2, which is rev 1.07, and totally functional. The K2 has: KAT2 antenna tuner (new, built by me), KSB2 for SSB and digital, battery option (no battery), and “K2 Internal Mic Adapter” configured for Heil (Table 1 in the KSB2 docs).

Retro-75 AM Transceiver from Small Wonder Labs — SOLD 7/2021

Board was constructed in 2010, setup and tuned per manual (its scan is shown); never got around to putting it in a case (the other PDF) or actually using it on the air. It comes with the plug-ins in photos. $75, free shipping lower 48. Will consider offers … it doesn’t need to be in a box for another 10 years!

It’s not new, but has plenty of memory and hard-disk space. Comes with Apple keyboard and mouse; also have original box, 2 install and service CDs, small pack of instructions.

An easy computer to setup and run fldigi or any other digital software for the Mac. See typical Mac setup for digital … https://wilcoxengineering.com/psk31-for-the-k2/  (Those photos illustrate with my old MacBook, not the iMac I’m selling.)

I have the original Apple box for shipping, but a local pickup would be better.

Priced at $295 plus whatever shipping might be needed.

The computer belonged to my good friend who died in April; all proceeds go to his widow.
